   FRANKLIN  Laura Hester Taylor Darden died Nov. 20, 2000.
   Hester was a native of Tarboro, N.C., daughter of Robert Lee Newsome and Lina Parker Newsome. She was predeceased by her husbands, James Clayton Taylor and James D. Darden. She was a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church.
   She is survived by a daughter, Frances Dianne Pacrnich of Antioch, Ill.; a son, Vernon C. Taylor and his wife Glenn of Franklin; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
   A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Newsoms United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 235, Newsoms, VA 23874.
