Marjorie B. Darden, 62, of the 1500 block of Virginia St., died Dec. 14, 1991, in a Norfolk hospital. 

Mrs. Darden was born in Southampton County. She was the widow of Titus Darden. She was a member of Hickory Grove A.M.E. Zion Church and served on the stewardess board. She was a member of Hood's Chapter 126, Order of Eastern Star. 

Survivors include five daughters, Marion Banks of Murfreesboro, N.C., Sylvia Jordan of Plainfield, N.J., and Purlie Banks, Sharon Hoskie and Charlene Banks, all of Franklin; a son, Timothy A. Banks Jr. of Franklin; three sisters, Ethel Wiggins, Willie Mae Jones and Susan Branch, and two brothers, Charlie Long and Thomas Councill, all of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hickory Grove A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. L.H. Burgess. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
