Mary Frances English Darden, 90, formerly of Suffolk, died Nov. 2, 1992, in a nursing home.
  Mrs. Darden was born in Easton, Pa. She was a past executive director of the Suffolk chapter of the American Red Cross and was a former Nansemond County health nurse. She was a former member of Riverview Garden Club, Suffolk. She had attended Cornell University and St. Luke's Nursing School, New York City. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.
  Survivors include a daughter, Molly D. Harrison of Annapolis; a son, William H. Darden III of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; two brothers, Richard English of Coplay, Pa., and John English of Troy, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.
  The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Ben R. Duffey. Friends may join the family at 512 W. Riverview Drive, Suffolk. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
  Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk chapter of the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 129, Suffolk, Va. 23439-0129.
