Virginia Phippins Warren ``Doodle'' Story died Oct. 3, 1998. 

Born Sept. 11, 1931, in Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of the late Norman Francis and Mary Lee Duck Phippins and the widow of Henry Story. She was a retired beautician and a member of Colosse Baptist Church. 

Survivors include two sisters, Bessie B. Carr of Carrsville and Mary Frances Duck of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Warren. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Lee Bowers. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
