Lloyd A. ``Pick'' Duck, 82, a retired farmer, died Oct. 24, 1997, in his home. 

Mr. Duck was a son of the late Alphonso and Polly Carr Duck. He was a lifelong member of Mount Carmel Christian Church. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Turner Duck; a son, Lloyd Earl ``Sonny'' Duck and his wife, Betty, of Herndon, Va.; a sister, Polly Francis Redd of Zuni; a brother, William Leland Duck of Windsor; two grandchildren, Christopher Lloyd and Joanna Lyn Duck; several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Mt. Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. Robert Bennett with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Walters, Va. 23315. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
