Olive Byrd Duke , 84, of the 7800 block of Quince Road, passed away on Dec. 29, 2003. 
Born in Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late Oliver T. and Melissa Klages Byrd and the widow of Joseph H. Duke . A homemaker, she was a member of Holland United Church of Christ and was a choir member for 35 years. 
She is survived by a son, Dennie Ray Duke and a brother, Delaney Byrd, both of Suffolk. 
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holland Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Walser. Friends may join the family at Harrell and Hill Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holland United Church of Christ, Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 7097, Suffolk, VA 23437.
