Obituary of JAMES THOMAS DUNLOW The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, November 23, 1993 James T. "Jim" Dunlow, 79, of Smiths Ferry Road, died Nov. 22, 1993. Mr. Dunlow was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and retired from Sachs Nut Company. He was a member and deacon at Sunbeam Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bailey Dunlow; two daughters, Shirley D. Edwards of Franklin and Anne D. Eisenhaur of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, George B. Dunlow and James E. Dunlow, both of Franklin; three sisters, Naomi D. Turner of Capron, Rose Ella Kitchen of Franklin and Fannie D. Buckner of Courtland; one brother, Luther B. Dunlow of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dunlow was predeceased by his parents, George and Martha Virginia Dunlow; his first wife, Sarah Katherine Dunlow; and a son, Melvin Dunlow. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunbeam Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Wright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Center.
