FRANKLIN - Luther Benjamin Dunlow, 85, widower of Ella Underwood Dunlow
and retired farmer, died May 22, 2005, at East Pavilion.

He was born in Isle of Wight County, a son of the late George Washington
and Martha Johnson Dunlow. Mr. Dunlow was an Army veteran of World War
II and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy D. Covington and Betty D.
Goldsmith, both of Churchland; a grandson, Thurman Munford, Jr. of Zuni;
two sisters, Fannie Buckner of Virginia Beach and Rose Ella Kitchen of
Franklin; and his devoted dog, Abby. He was predeceased by three sisters
and three brothers, Naomi Turner, Alice Hargrave, Mary Hargrave, and
George, James and Emmett Dunlow.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home
with the Rev. Rob Edwards and the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church
Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's
Association, P.O. Box 1224, Franklin, VA. 23851.
