Edna E. Overby, 87, died Dec. 20, 1998, in Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community.
Born in Southampton on Nov. 20, 1911, she was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church and a retired bookkeeper. She was the daughter of the late Willie Burton Overby and Carrie Rome Beale.
Survivors include sisters, Hazel Crandall of Smithfield and Mary Barns of Culpeper; brother, Leon O. Overby of Harrisonburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Memorial contributions may be made to Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, P.O. Box 191, Culpeper, Va. 22701. Clore-Geest Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
