A native of Carrsville, he was the son of the late Theodore Paulette and Shirley Johnson Eason. Ted was a graduate of Hargrave Military Academy and was retired from the United States Air Force. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam and the Air force commendation Medal for service to the President of Air Force One. He was employed by Packaging Services Inc. and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jane Kauffman Eason; two daughters, Marietta Nichol and husband, Chris, of Norfolk and Jill Rowe and husband, Rick, of Virginia Beach; one son, Paul A. Eason and wife, Anne, of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren, Melissa Riker of Dade City, Fla., Cole A Eason and Kayleigh A. Eason. A memorial service will be conducted July 20 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Sharon James Officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
