   SUFFOLK - Audrey Edwards Cross, 86, died Aug. 11, 1999.
   Born Dec. 17, 1912, in Perquimans County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Herbert and Lethia Rountree Stallings, and was the widow of Bernice Waverly Edwards and John Thomas Cross. Mrs. Cross was retired from Vitex. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and HAC Senior Citizen Group.
   Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judith E. and Wayne Gardner of Eure, N.C.; sister, Helene S. Wiggins of Hobbsville, N.C.; brothers, J.H. Stallings, Dewey Stallings, Claxton Stallings, all of Belvidere, N.C., and Ray Stallings of Hobbsville, N.C.; stepdaughters, Jean Walker, Grace Vick and Mary Baker, stepsons, Jimmy Cross, Tom Cross and Raymond Cross; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest Baptist Church by the Rev. Douglas W. Gibson. Burial will be Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
