KATHERINE EVERLENA ELLIS

SUFFOLK - Katherine Everlena Ellis of the 200 block of N. Saratoga St.
died at Obici Hospital on Feb. 19, 2005. Born July 25, 1924, she was the
daughter of the late Austin A. and Fannie Olivia Brinkley Ellis.

She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and retired as cafeteria
supervisor in 1987 after 43 years from Planters-Nabisco. She was
predeceased by her brother, William "Bill" Ellis and a brother-in-law,
George Vick.

Remaining to cherish her memory are sisters, Mary Virginia Vick of
Portsmouth, and Betty Lee Morrison and husband Jim of Suffolk; a
brother, H. Jan Ellis and wife Lena Ann of Suffolk; a sister-in-law,
Jane N. Ellis of Windsor, Va. She had many well-loved nieces and
nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and an aunt and friends.

A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home with the
Rev. Micheal D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn
Cemetery. They family will receive friends at the funeral home today
from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
Box 1515, Suffolk, VA 23439 or the American Heart Association, 4217 Park
Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

She was a loving woman who cherished her family and created a loving
Christian home. She will be deeply missed.
