SUFFOLK - Sarah Ellis Harrell, 84, died Nov. 6.

A native of Nansemond County, Mrs. Harrell was a homemaker and the widow
of L. Whidbee Harrell Jr. She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of
Christ and was the daughter of the late Maggie Britton and Henry Lloyd
Ellis. She was also predeceased by three brothers, John Robert, Owen and
Carroll Ellis. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla H.
and Leroy Arthur of Windsor, Va.; a son, W. Daniel Harrell and Dorothy
of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Brandy H. Bridger and husband Jonathan of
Suffolk and Jamie L. Harrell and husband Chris Carr of Carrsville; a
sister, Ellen E. Adams of Suffolk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Nov. 7 in Holland Cemetery by the Rev.
Dolan A. Talbert. Contributions may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk
Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. Parr Funeral Home
handled arrangements.
