Bonnie Eure Williams, 80, died Jan. 11, 2000, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Gates County, N.C., and reared in Suffolk, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Linwood Grayley and Mary Jane Felton Eure and the widow of John T. Williams. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Jane W. Butler of Franklin and Shirley W. Weir of Suffolk; two sons, John Thomas ``Jack'' Williams Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Linwood Moore Williams and his wife, Pam, of Franklin; a sister, Essie Jernigan of Suffolk; two brothers, John D. Eure of Suffolk and Nat Eure of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; six grandchildren, Wanda Blythe, Katy Marks, Amy Vinson, Cindy Smith, Jonathan Jarratt, Ashley Jarratt; five great-grandchildren, Kim Blythe, Courtney Vinson, Chad Vinson, Kelly Marks, Brian Marks; and one great-great-grandchild, Brandon Blythe. 

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Roy E. DeBrand and the Rev. Dr. Ira D. Hudgins. The family will receive friends at the home of Jane Butler, 210 North Drive, and suggests that memorials be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Flood Restoration Fund, 208 N. High St., Franklin, VA 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
