Nacy Anthony "Tony" Evans Sr., 47, died Aug. 17, 2002. Mr. Evans was born in Norfolk Dec. 2, 1954, a son of the late Alton P. Evans and Daphne M. Evans. He was a structural shop supervisor for the U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command, Portsmouth. 
Survivors include his wife, Paula Woods Evans; sons, Nacy A. Evans Jr. and Derek P. Evans, all of Suffolk; brothers and spouses, Alton P. Evans of Chesapeake, John M. Evans of Norfolk, Dean R. Evans of Virginia Beach, Don Evans of Chesapeake and Timmy Evans of Norfolk; and a sister and her spouse, Lillian E. Belter of Norfolk. 
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery by Cmdr. Derek K. Ross, CHC, U.S. Navy. Family will receive friends at the residence, 8533 Southwestern Blvd., Suffolk. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Harrell and Hill Funeral Home is serving the family.
