Mrs. Fanney was born in Nansemond County, Va. She was the widow of Joseph Mills Fanney Sr. and was a member of Holland Christian Church, Suffolk. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Price of Suffolk; a son, J. Mills Fanney Jr. of Hanes City, Fla., and Windsor, Va.; a sister, Emma Sue Holland of Suffolk; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Emma Byrd Wood and John T. Wood . The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holland Cemetery by the Rev. David Seymour. The family will receive friends at the Sidney F.
