Obituary of Anna Catherine Fowler ANNA CATHERINE POWERS FOWLER Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, March 29, 2003 CARRSVILLE - Anna Catherine Fowler, 74, passed away March 28, 2003 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Mrs. Fowler was born in Sedley, Va., and was the daughter of Floyd S. Powers and Anna Ruth Scott Powers. She had retired from Hancock Peanut Co. in Courtland. Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Rochelle Fowler; her son, George Raymond Fowler and wife, Paula of Newport News; four daughters, Patricia Chastain, Sandra Daughety and husband, Joseph, all of Suffolk, Virginia (Jenny) Lowe and husband, Tommy of Ivor and Brenda Lyle of Virginia Beach; a brother, Ryland Powers and wife, Betty of Franklin; a sister, Shirley Hartman and husband, Bob of Roanoke, Va.; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Catherine will be lovingly remembered as "MeMarsh" by her entire family. She always looked forward to her "mother and daughters vacations." A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin, with the Rev. Warren Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, today from 6 to 8 p.m. and ask that donations in Catherine's memory be made to the Diabetes Institutes Foundation, 855 W.
