He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Isle of Wight County and was the son of the late William Henry and Rebie Holland Fowler. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Madge Drake Fowler; two brothers, Elmo M. Fowler and his wife, Marie, and C. Eugene Fowler and his wife, Natalie, all of Courtland; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Fowler was predeceased by a brother, Oscar Fowler. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Robert Worthy and the Rev. Russell Ford officiating. Burial will be in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
