Obituary of Everette Sears Francis EVERETT SEARS FRANCIS The Tidewater News - 06-02-1999 RICHMOND - Everette Sears Francis, 82, a native of Boykins, died of a heart attack in a Richmond hospital June 2. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.S. Francis of Boykins; the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lavesco Francis of Boykins; and the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar G. Sears of Como, N.C. Upon graduation from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, he served in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. A long-time resident of Richmond, he was a devoted member of Reveille United Methodist Church, and a humanitarian to many widows and others for whom he gave counsel, guidance and aid. Mr. Francis was predeceased by his brother, Gilbert W. Francis, and his sister, Katherine F. Draper. He is survived by two sisters,Natalie F. Coleman of Richmond and Deaton F. Faucette of Boykins; his wife, Jaqueline Renaud Francis; three children, Stanley B. Francis, and Patricia S. Francis of Richmond, and Phillip R. Francis of Owasso. Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Joyce A. Francis (Mrs. Stanley B. Francis); and five grandchildren, Nathan, Daniel, Matthew and Melissa Francis and Carey Deudon.
