Obituary of LOUISE ELIZABETH VICK FRANCIS The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, September 14, 1994 Louise Vick Francis, 81, a resident of Boykins, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. She was the widow of Jesse Carter Francis and daughter of the late Frank and Katie Joyner Vick. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church, Drewryville, and the Women's Missionary Union and taught Sunday School for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Kay F. Johnson of Sedley and Peggy F. Vann of Courtland; a son, Kermit Francis of Capron; a sister, Sophie Sands of Draper, Va.; a granddaughter, Melanie Francis of Richmond; three grandsons, Glenn Francis of Capron, Ben Johnson of Wadesboro, N.C., and Stephen Johnson of Sweptsonville, N.C.; and two great-grandsons, Carter Johnson and Jason Francis. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. Edmund E. Ellis and the Rev. David L. Johnson Sr. The family will be at the residence of Kay Johnson, 18173 Rosemont Road, Sedley. Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
