Rachel Fussell Scott, 86, widow of Carroll V. Scott, died March 3, 2004.
Mrs. Scott was born in Rose Hill, N.C., and was a daughter of the late
Preston Ray and Cora Grady Fussell. Besides her husband, she was
predeceased by a daughter, Carole S. McLean, two sisters and two
brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia C. Scott of Richmond; three sons,
Ritchie V. Scott and wife Rosemary of Franklin, Kreg Scott and wife
Roxanne of Ocean City, N.J., and Carroll T. "Bub" Scott and wife Alex of
Chesterfield; seven grandchildren, Ginger Edwards, Charles Lee, David
Lee and Beth S. Keffer, all of Franklin, Ritchie Scott Jr. and Tim
Scott, both of Virginia Beach and Suzanne Goff of Sedley; and a host of
great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
The family will gather at Poplar Spring Cemetery for a graveside service
at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. James W. Browder III officiating and
will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
