Obituary of Delaware Thomas "D T" Gardner II DELAWARE THOMAS GARDNER Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 7, 1997 Delaware Thomas ``D T'' Gardner II, 66, of the 4100 block of Whaleyville Blvd., died March 5, 1997. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Oscar William Gardner and father of the late Randy Thomas Gardner. Mr. Gardner was a member of Magnolia United Methodist church and president of the Gardner Hunt Club. He worked at Planter's for 35 years and retired as a supervisor. Survivors include his wife, Florence Bradshaw Gardner; his mother, Norma Tarkington Gardner of Suffolk; a daughter, Faye Elizabeth Gardner of Suffolk; three sisters, Janie G. Walters of Suffolk, Nancy G. Rainey of Chesapeake, Letty G. Hernly of Smithfield; two brothers, L.W. ``Billy'' Gardner and R.E. ``Bobby'' Gardner, both of Suffolk; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Clyde D. Nuckols. Burial will be in Liberty Springs Christian Church Cemetery.
