MARY GARDNER JOYNER

SUFFOLK - Mary Gardner Joyner, 91, died Oct. 16, 2005.

A native of Nansemond County, she formerly worked as a clerk for 32
years at the Ye Olde Pastry Shop in Suffolk. She was the widow of Jethro
T. Joyner and the daughter of the late Mary B. and George Gardner. She
was the oldest member of Antioch Church where she was also a member of
the Ladies Fellowship Class and formerly taught Sunday school and Junior
Church. She also sung in the choir.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and good friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Holly Lawn
Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Habecker and the Rev. Londsay Poteat
officiating. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
Parr Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antioch
Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 36, Windsor, VA 23487.
