Lee Gardner, 64, of the 5400 block of Pruden Blvd., died Aug. 3, 1996 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin. Mr. Gardner was a native of Nansemond County and was the son of the late Willie and Eleanor Vaughan Gardner. He was a retired corn miller at Johnson and Elder Corn Mill in Sedley. He was a Protestant. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Parker Gardner; a stepdaughter, Betty C. Runyon of Windsor; a stepson, James A. Coggsdale Jr. of Suffolk; and several stepgranddaughters. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today in Southampton Memorial Park , Franklin. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, one hour prior to the service.
