Obituary of Wyman Giles WYMAN GILES The Tidewater News - 03-10-2005 IVOR - Wyman "Boy" Giles, 82, died March 4 at Waverly Healthcare Center, Waverly. Born in Isle of Wight County, he was the son of the late Rollie M. Giles and Eva Joyner Giles. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and was a retired carpenter for Silas S. Kea and Sons. He was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Owney. Survivors include his brother, R. Seward Giles of Ivor; two sisters, Dorothy Lester of Portsmouth and Audrey Chapman of Windsor; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends. Private services will be held in the Joyner Family Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 288, Ivor, Va. 23866 or the Ivor Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 213, Ivor, Va. 23866.
