William Benjamin Gillette, 75, of Rock Springs Road, a retired farmer, died Aug. 23, 1992. 

Mr. Gillette was born in Southampton County. He was a member of Capron United Methodist Church. He was a charter member of the Capron Ruritan Club and was a member of the Indiantown Hunt Club. He was past director of the Southampton County Farm Bureau. 

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Simmons Gillette; and two brothers, A. Percy Gillette and Cooper P. Gillette, both of Capron. 

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Capron United Methodist Church by the Rev. Louis Martin. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements. 

Memorial donations may be made to the church or to the Capron Rescue Squad.
