Obituary of Fleet Hallett Glenn FLEET HALLETT GLENN Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, February 5, 2002 FLEET H. GLENN (aka) Fleet Hallett Glenn, 72, son of the late Russell B. and Mary S. Glenn, of Old Myrtle Road, passed away Feb. 3, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris Rountree Glenn; three children, Erica M. Glenn of Suffolk, Elizabeth Glenn Fox and husband Clarke of Capron, and Russell B. Glenn II of Suffolk; two grandsons, Jackson and Thomas Fox of Capron; five sisters, Leola Glenn of Durham, N.C., Jocelyn O'Bannon and husband William of Florissant, Mo., Monica Glenn of Atlanta, Ga., Tosca Minichan and husband David of Roanoke, Va., and Patricia Johnson and husband Brian of Houston, Texas; a brother, Hugo Glenn and wife Helen of Suffolk; a sister-in-law, Betty Glenn of Old Town, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Rollin C. Glenn formerly of Old Town, Mass. Mr. Glenn was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church since 1958 and Suffolk Masonic Lodge No. 30 AF&AM, Suffolk, and the Myrtle Hunt Club. He was also an Army veteran who was known for his keen wit, creative mind and his orderly workshop and farms. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk. Mr. Hershel M. Hill and Pastor David M. Jendrey will officiate. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Interment will be at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
