Obituary of Calvin Wayne Gray CALVIN WAYNE GRAY The Tidewater News  03 13-2003 FRANKLIN  Calvin Wayne Gray, 58, died March 11, (2003) at Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late William Richard Gray Sr. and Virginia Lee Crowder. He was a 1964 graduate of Southampton High School and a retired slice operator in the woodyard of Union Camp Corp. He served six years in the Army National Guard, and was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryn White Gray; two daughters, Audra G. Sambar and husband Chris of Los Angeles, Calif., and Candance Gray and fiancÈ, Dr. Dan Seiden Sticker of Los Angeles; a son, Calvin Wayne Gray, II of Franklin; two sisters, Dorothy G. Datto and husband, Phillip of Lake Ariel, Pa., and Kathy G. Vann and husband Bobby of Boykins; two brothers, Bernard G. Gray and wife Harriett of Franklin and William R. Gray Jr., and wife Betty of Capron; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., March 14, in Newsoms Baptist Church with the Revs. Curtis Faison and Kenneth Williams officiating. The family will receive friends March 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and requests memorials be made to Newsoms Baptist Church, P.O.
