Obituary of Paul Douglas Gray PAUL DOUGLAS GRAY The Tidewater News - 01-30-2005 FRANKLIN - Paul Douglas Gray, 76, died Jan. 25 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late Junie Fleetwood and Esther Coppersmith Gray. Mr. Gray retired from Hargrave Military Academy after 35 years as head of the audio-visual department and substitute teacher. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a g raduate of the University of Richmond a member of Chatham Baptist Church. Survivors include his brother, W. Patrick Gray; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Sadie Mildred Gray, Nellie Mae Gray and Pauline "Sister" Lowe; and six brothers, Robert, Jasper, Norwood, "N.J.", Wesley, Otis and Jesse Gray. A funeral was to be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 29 in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. Dr. Sue Fitzgerald officiating. Burial was to follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
