Isaac J. Greene, 90, died May 29, 1998, at Obici Hospital. 

He was the son of the late Isaac and Martha Pierce Greene and was predeceased by two sons, William I. and W. Isaac Greene, and a daughter, Martha Louise Casper. 

Survivors include his wife, Nellie R. Greene; three daughters, Rosa G. Hollowell of Carrsville, Betty C. Bean of Franklin, and Deborah Jolly of Windsor; five sons, Jesse H. Greene, Dennis Ray Greene and Archie Harald Greene of Suffolk, Eddie Earl Greene of Carrollton, Randall Greene of Vinton County, Va.; a sister, Grizzel Greene of Ahoskie, N.C.; a brother, Herman Greene of Gates County, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. James Corlew. Burial will be in the Southampton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
