Annie Britton Griffin, 90, died Oct. 8, 1998. 

Born in Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Sarah Ann Byrd Britton, and the wife of John Everett Griffin. She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ in Suffolk. 

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by two sisters, four brothers and a dear sister-in-law, Lydia Griffin. 

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Scott Fuller. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
