MARGARET C.E. GRIFFIN

Margaret Cotton Eley Griffin, 95, died May 29, 1993. 

Mrs. Griffin was a native of Southampton County and was the widow of Presley Luther Eley and George Curtis Griffin. She was as member of Suffolk Christian Church and was a former member of Sycamore Baptist Church. 
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Eley Ramsey of Suffolk and Angie Eley Griffin of Windsor; three sons, Presley L. Eley Jr., Lawrence A. Eley and Kenneth C. Eley, all of Suffolk; a brother, Pat Cotton of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sycamore Baptist Church by the Rev. Reginald Warren and the Rev. Bruce Havens. Burial will be in the Cotton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to Sycamore Baptist Church.
