Obituary of HENRY THOMAS GRIFFITH The Virginian Pilot - 10-30-1994, B-6 Henry Thomas Griffith, 63, of 416 Hunterdale Road died Friday Oct. 28, 1994, at his home. Mr. Griffith was a native of Hertford County, N.C. and was the son of the late Emil Thomas and Rosa Jane Whitley Griffith. He was predeceased by his first wife; Virginia Burgess Griffith. Mr. Griffith was an army veteran of the Korean War and had retired as a machine tender in the paper mill at Union Camp Corporation. He was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ and Union Lodge 1488 UPIU, AFL-CIO. Survivors include his wife; Bertha V. Griffith, two daughters; Wanda Griffith Waters of Greenville, N.C. and Sharon Griffith Dunston of Elizabeth City, N.C.; one son; Dennis Thomas Griffith of Franklin; one brother, James Bernard Griffith of Franklin; two grandsons; John Christopher Blythe and Bryant Leonard Waters; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn "Katie" Marie Waters. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday Oct. 31, 1994, at the Hunterdale United Church and Christ with Rev. James X. Camak officiating. Friends may join the family at the residence and memorials may be made to the church building fund. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
