FRANKLIN - Ruth L. Hamilton Brenner, 88, died Dec. 22, 2001, at the East Pavilion.
A native of Trenton, Mo., Mrs. Brenner was born Nov. 9, 1913, and was the widow of John Lewis Brenner. She graduated from Evangelical Hospital School of Nursing of Chicago, was a retired registered nurse and Director of Nursing Service at Raiford Hospital in Franklin. She was past deacon and a charter member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church. She was past president of the Franklin PTA, past worthy matron of the Southampton Chapter No. 68 OES.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara B. Cutchin of Franklin; two sons, John H. Brenner and Robert L. Brenner, both of Richmond; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Franklin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Lambeth officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin Presbyterian Church, 405 Lee St., Franklin, VA 23851. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
