   George Edward Harcum, 58, of the 1000 block of Dutch Road, died July 30, 1999, in Obici Hospital. A native of Suffolk, Mr. Harcum retired from Ford Motor Co., Norfolk Assembly Plant. He was the son of the late George Ellis Harcum and Erma Leigh Collins Harcum. He was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ; honorary member of Holland Fire Department; life member of Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, McAlister Masonic Lodge No. 185 and Suffolk Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Carr Harcum; daughter and son-in-law, Denise H. Walters and Seba R. Walters; son and daughter-in-law, Barry D. Harcum and Lori B. Harcum; grandson, Devin S. Walters, and one grandchild to be born on Aug. 3, 1999; and a brother Jesse L. Harcum, all of Suffolk. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Scott Fuller. Burial will be in Colosse Cemetery with Masonic rites. Friends may join the family at the residence.
