Obituary of CLAUDINE NORFLEET HARRELL Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, September 18, 1996 Claudine Norfleet Harrell, 85, of the 2100 block of Box Elder Road, died Sept. 17, 1996, in Hillhaven Nansemond Nursing Center. A homemaker, she was born in Nansemond County, Va. She was a member of Holy Neck United Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. She was charter member of the Whaleyville Order of the Eastern Star (NU)137, Box Elder Pollyanna Club and was a former 4-H leader in the Box Elder Community. Survivors include her husband, Emmett G. Harrell; four daughters and sons-in-laws, Margaret H. Cobb and husband, Shelton, of Franklin, Va.; Emma H. Gardner and husband, Norman, of Suffolk; Georgie H. Copeland and husband, Jimmie, of Suffolk; and Mamie H. Sink and husband, Danny, of Chester, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother, Mamie V. Rogers Norfleet and father, Claud Norfleet. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. E. Cecil Smith and the Rev. Hershel Hill in Holy Neck United Christian Church. Burial will be in Whaleyville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
