A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Jessie Henry Harris, She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Thomas Harris. Mrs. Harris was a sergeant first class when she retired from the U.S. Army. She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. She is survived by cousins. Among them are Carrie Mason Lowe of Surry, Va., and W.H. Henry of New Bern, N.C. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. R.W. Baker & Co.
