Jesse B. Harrison, 73, of Laurel Street, a retired clerk, died July 10, 1992, in a hospital.  

Mr. Harrison was born in Pitt County, N.C. He had retired from the Franklin public works department. He was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church and Knights of Pythias. He was a former chief of the Franklin Fire Department.  

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Simpson Harrison; a daughter, Jane H. Duran of Bolivia; two sisters, Edna Lamm of Norfolk and Sadie Knox of Robersonville, N.C.; and two grandchildren.  

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Samuel Askew and the Rev. David Dillion. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . Friends may join the family at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the church's building fund or to Rock Church of Franklin for Bolivia.
