Obituary of Guy Norfleet Haslett GUY NORFLEET HASLETT The Tidewater News - 12-26-2002 SUFFOLK - Guy Norfleet Haslett, 81, died Dec. 18 at his home. Born April 23, 1921, in Suffolk, he was the son of the late Martha Julia Morgan and Joseph Jethro Haslett. Mr. Haslett was co-owner and operator of Southern Dry Cleaners for many years. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the Franklin Hunt Club. He had served in the merchant marines during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Helen Vann Walters Haslett; daughters, Nancy H. Pichel and husband M.R. of Virginia Beach; son, Hunter Walters Haslett of Isle of Wight County; grandchildren, Tracy P. Shield and Frank H. Pichel; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Joe, Lou, Julian, Tony and Carlton Haslett, and foster brother, Fred Morgan. A funeral was held Dec. 23 in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Michael D. Halley with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral Home.
