Born Sept. 18, 1950, in Franklin, Billy was an Air Force veteran and was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation where he was a mechanic. Survivors include his father, Alexander ``Pete'' Webb Hatch Sr. of Franklin; two sons, William F. ``Bill'' Hatch Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Franklin, Tracy Lynn Hatch and his wife, Indu, of New York; and a brother, Alexander Webb Hatch Jr. of Richmond. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia Gillette Hatch. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins.
