Mrs. Hatfield was a native of Franklin and was the widow of Oley Lee Hatfield. She was the former owner and operator of Franklin Laundry and Drycleaners. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church, its Friendship Bible Class and the High Street Senior Citizens. Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Mamie S. Whitley of Franklin, Beatrice N. Whitley of Windsor, and Mary Whitley of Chesapeake; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Edward Johnson.
