FRANKLIN - B.Vaughan Hatfield Bradshaw, 90, a longtime resident of the
Burdette community and widow of Lloyd Bradshaw, died Oct. 28,, 2004.
This beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was born in
Southampton county to the late James Edward and Bertha Councill Hatfield
and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Lloyd Bradshaw Jr. and wife Cathie of
Courtland; two sister-in-law, Eunice Hatfield of Burdette and Nellie
Bradshaw of Great Bridge; a grandson, Lloyd "Brad" Bradshaw, Ill and
wife Bethanne of Suffolk; and two great-grandchildren, Rachel and
Matthew Bradshaw. Besided her parents and husband, she was preceded in
death by two infant sons, Edward Alvin and Larry Wayne Bradshaw; a
sister, Alta Vaughan and two brothers, James and Alvin Hatfield.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home with the
Rev. Greg Kitts officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring
Cemetery The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
the funeral home and other times at Lloyd and Cathie's 23301 Shands
Drive, Courtland. Memorials may be made to Black Creek Baptist Church,
34163 Vicksville, Road, Franklin, Va 23851.
