Obituary of Gladys Harrup Hayner GLADYS HARRUP HAYNER Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, June 20, 2004 Gladys Harrup Hayner, 86, widow of Frank D. Hayner, died June 19, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Fredericksburg. Born in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jefferson and Katherine Willerford Harrup and was very proud of having served her country during World War II by working for the Martin Aircraft Factory in Baltimore. Mrs. Hayner was a Seventh-day Adventist. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Andrews and husband, Cecil of Bailey, Colo. and Nancy H. Hresko and husband, John of Fredericksburg; a son, Fred D. Hayner and wife, Amy of Waverly; seven grandchildren, Holly Delants, Chad Andrews, Jen Sielski, Dan Hresko, Jessica Tillett, Emma Hayner, Michael Hayner; and a great-grandchild, Jake Delants. Mrs. Hayner was predeceased by four brothers, Robert, William, Cecil and Joseph Harrup. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Robert Harrup Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
