Minnie Hill Story, 81, of 32906 Barnes Church Circle, died Feb. 12, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Mrs. Story was a life-long resident of Southampton County, and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Britt Hill. She was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church. 

Mrs. Story is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jessie Giles Story; a daughter, Blanche S. Drake of Zuni; two sons, James Lee Story of Colonial Heights, Va., and Jesse L. Story of Chesapeake; two sisters, Betty Vaughan and Lizzie Story, both of Newsoms; a brother, Eppa P. Hill of Baltimore, Md.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Benjamin Story; a grandson, Joseph Dock Drake; and a great-grandson, Freddie Dock Drake. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Kenneth Williams and the Rev. Jim Smith. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
