Billy Joseph Hill, 58, formerly of Franklin, Va., died Oct. 5, 1992, in a hospital. 

Mr. Hill was born in Waycross, Ga. He was the owner of Hillcrest Motel in Lake City. He was an Air Force veteran. 

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Johnson Hill; a daughter, Kelly Hill, and a son, Ricky Hill, both of Los Angeles; his mother, Rena Hill of Homerville, Ga.; two stepsons, Roy C. Duke of Franklin and Raye J. Duke of Cadiz, Ohio; two sisters, Susie Hamilton of Louisville, Ga., and Jean Tapley of Waycross; and four grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Sharon James. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Friends may join the family at 1012 N. High St., Franklin.
