  RICHMOND - Ruth Jones Holland, 87, a native of Nansemond County and a former resident of Suffolk died Tuesday, March 1.
  Mrs. Holland was a former teacher and a 1929 graduate of College of William and Mary. She was a lifelong member of South Quay Baptist Church, Suffolk, and attended Derbyshire Baptist Church.
  Survived by three sons, Phillip P. Holland of Houston, Texas, Eugene E. Holland of Earlysville and C. Clay Holland of West Point; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
  Graveside service 2 p.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. Gary Kumm and Dr. Donald Trump. Visitation following services in fellowship hall of South Quay Baptist Church.
