Mr. Holloman was born in Southampton County, Va. and was the son of the late J.R. Holloman Jr. He was a graduate of Hargrave Military Academy and served in the Army Medical Corps at Brooks Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas and Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He was a journeyman construction worker and was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jason L. Holloman of Newsoms ; his mother, Adelle Vick Holloman of Newsoms ; three brothers, James R. Holloman III of Suffolk and Terry L. Holloman and Larry R. Holloman, both of Newsoms ; and his maternal grandmother, Mildred Elizabeth Felts of Franklin. The graveside service with military rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollywood Cemetery , Newsoms , by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is handling arrangements.
