Born in Southampton County, Mr. Holt was the son of John A. and Clara Adcock Holt. He was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class, a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was retired from Holt Metal Products. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Porter Holt; a daughter, Jane Williamson of Carmel, Calif.; a sister, Linda Griffin; two brothers, John Andrew Holt and Earl W. Holt, all of Wakefield; and a granddaughter, Jenna Kane. He was predeceased by his first wife, Martha Joyner Holt; two brothers, Rickon and Conrad Holt; three sisters, Mary Lou Howell, Mildred Scott and Eleanor Goodrich; and a nephew, Merle Holt. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Reginald Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
