Tess Hughes Male, 94, died Jan. 14, 1997.
Mrs. Male was born in Greenville, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Emma Russell and Hillary Millburn Hughes. She was the widow of Arthur Frazier Male and was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara M. Rockwell of Wayland, Mass., Lisbeth M. Woods of Virginia Beach and Patricia M. Jones of Florence, Ala.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Wright Funeral Home is in charge.
