SUFFOLK - Mary Lee January, 95, passed away Dec. 27, 2005, after a long
illness in Miami Beach, Fla.

She was a resident of Suffolk for 60 years and the wife of the late
Hilary January. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah, the Women's
Zionist organization, a member of the National Board and the Regional
President. She was a major fund-raiser for the state of Israel from its
inception. Mary Lee was involved in many civic activities in Virginia.

She survived by her son, Irving Philip January; daughter Harriet January
Weistein (Dr. Morton Weinstein); three grandchildren, Dr. Debra
Weinstein-Schlein (Dr. Andrew Schlein), Jan Weinstein-Rosenfeld (Gary
Rosenfeld) and David Weinstein; and five great-grandchildren, Sarah,
Eliza, Jacob, Levi and Hillary. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all.

A funeral will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Holly
Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg. Memorial donations may
be made to Hadassah, 50 West 58 St., New York, N.Y., 10019 or the
American Cancer Society, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.
