Obituary of Mary Lee January MARY LEE JANUARY Virginian Pilot 12-28-2005 SUFFOLK - Mary Lee January, 95, passed away Dec. 27, 2005, after a long illness in Miami Beach, Fla. She was a resident of Suffolk for 60 years and the wife of the late Hilary January. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah, the Women's Zionist organization, a member of the National Board and the Regional President. She was a major fund-raiser for the state of Israel from its inception. Mary Lee was involved in many civic activities in Virginia. She survived by her son, Irving Philip January; daughter Harriet January Weistein (Dr. Morton Weinstein); three grandchildren, Dr. Debra Weinstein-Schlein (Dr. Andrew Schlein), Jan Weinstein-Rosenfeld (Gary Rosenfeld) and David Weinstein; and five great-grandchildren, Sarah, Eliza, Jacob, Levi and Hillary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all. A funeral will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at the graveside in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk, by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg.
